User SquiddyVonn of r/Starfield found an interesting manual online. Said manual is for an unannounced Starfield-themed smartwatch, which could possibly be an item from the games collector’s edition.

The draft instruction manual calls it THE WAND COMPANY LPV6 Chronomark Smartwatch. The Wand Company is known for creating prop replicas from media such as movies or video games. From Poké Balls to the officially licensed Pip-Boy 2000 Mk VI construction kit. The company has done it all.

Given that the company in question has a history with officially licensed Bethesda merchandise it is easy to guess that the smartwatch is too. But is it a standalone prop, or could it be the item in the collector’s edition of Starfield?

The watch looks both flashy and expensive. In the manual, you can see settings that show you the temperature and humidity. It also mentions Bluetooth connectivity.

The user SquiddyVonn suggests that the watch could be a significant part of Starfield’s UI. The watch could be an equivalent of Pip-Boy from the Fallout franchise. Which would make sense since every trailer of Starfield we have seen shows off a box supposedly containing this exact watch.

The watch itself can be also seen during “Into the Starfield: The Journey Begins” by Bethesda Softworks. Check out 1:30 of the video below to catch a glimpse of it. The narration seems to also imply that this watch is important for members of the Constellation. Further reinforcing the speculation of the watch being important gameplay-wise.

Starfield is set to launch later this year, November 11, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Available day one through the Xbox Game Pass subscription. This is Bethesda’s first new IP in over two decades. Given that some old 2018 images were enough to set the internet on fire, it’s safe to say that hype for the game is significant. We await to see if Starfield collector’s edition item is indeed the smartwatch or something even better.
