Halo Infinite – What You Can Expect From The Winter Update
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Winter Update, one of the biggest updates in the history of Halo Infinite, will include two new multiplayer maps, Covert One Flag mode, new limited-time events, Match XP beta, and the Forge beta.

Halo Infinite from 343 Industries has had a difficult journey, especially with Season 3’s postponement and the discontinuation of the split-screen co-op. A winter update from the developer will start on November 8 and go through March 7 of 2023. Today at 8 AM PST, a new overview will be available outlining all the anticipated material.

According to the previous roadmap, there will be a free Battle Pass with 30 Tiers of awards and two new multiplayer maps, Detachment and Argyle. A new game mode called Covert One Flag as well as two one-time events called Joint Fire in January 2023 and Winter Contingency 2 in December are also on the way.

There will also be a “beta” version of Match XP that may let users get experience points by participating in matches. Additionally, the Forge Beta should launch, giving players a wide range of tools with which to design new maps and game variants. It is confirmed that Forge was used only to develop The Pit from Halo 3. Campaign network co-op support should also become available at this point.

Microsoft’s Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC all support Halo Infinite. Watch this space later today for additional information on the Winter Update.
